The contest is open to all students enrolled in a Catholic school in the Diocese of Austin.

There will be one winning design selected from each of the following grade divisions:

• PreK–1st Grade: $1,000 scholarship
• 2nd–5th Grade: $1,000 scholarship
• 6th–8th Grade: $1,000 scholarship
• High School: $2,000 scholarship

All entries must be submitted by September 18, 2026.

Please review the following guidelines before submitting your artwork:

• Celebrate our Catholic faith. Artwork should reflect the meaning, joy, hope, and beauty of the Christmas season and be appropriate for a diocesan Christmas card.
• Create an original design. Artwork must be the student’s own original work and may not be traced, copied, or reproduced from another artist’s work.
• Keep it handmade. Artwork may not be mechanically or electronically generated. Please do not use clip art, photography, AI-generated artwork, digital graphics, or other electronically created images.
• Use color. Artwork should be submitted in color.
• Choose your format. Artwork may be created in either landscape or portrait orientation on an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper.
• Do not include your name on the artwork. Student names should not appear on the design. The winner’s name will be printed on the back of the Christmas card.
• One entry per student. Each student may submit only one design.
• Make sure your artwork can be scanned. Entries must be submitted electronically in PNG, JPG, or PDF format.

Winning students will be formally recognized at the Diocesan Catholic Services Appeal Reception on:

Scholarship recipients are required to attend the reception to receive their scholarship award.
